The Battle of WAterloo
"the nearest-run thing you ever saw in your life"
June 18th 1815. Over the rain-soaked fields of Belgium, The armies of Wellington and Napoleon faced each other in what was to be Napoleon's last stand. The battlefield remains largely as it was then, with a new visitors centre and the impressive Lion's Mound dominating the skyline now.
